Maksim Zagornov participated in negotiations with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)
Issues of the Russian-Emirates partnership in the field of energy were discussed today by the President of the Russian Distributed Power Generation Association, CEO at the MKS Group of Companies, «Business Russia» Ambassador in the UAE Maksim Zagornov and the heads of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The meeting took place within the framework of the third World Summit Aqdar 2019, which is taking place in Moscow these days.
As Maksim Zagornov noted, the Russian-Emirates partnership today shows a high rate of development - only last year the trade turnover between our countries amounted over 3 billion rubles. One of the most promising areas of cooperation is the power sector.
DEWA representatives, in their turn, underlined that the United Arab Emirates is interested in the implementation of joint energy projects and is open to all new and advanced technologies, innovations, know-how, including the ones from Russia. Green energy projects are actively developing in the UAE today under the auspices of DEWA, as well as such directions as smart networks, blockchain, artificial intelligence, distributed power generation. These are the areas that the UAE is ready to develop the joint Russian-Emirates projects in.
During the meeting, the sides discussed organizational issues related to the participation of the «Business Russia» companies in the annual exhibition on water treatment, energy technologies and environmental protection WETEX, which this year will be held on October 21-23 in Dubai. This year the event plans to unite over 2,000 participants from 50 countries and will be an effective platform for transactions and partnerships.
