MKC Group of Companies commissions an energy center in the Kartalinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region

MKC Group of Companies has launched an energy center in the Kartalinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. The 2 MW modular power plant will provide affordable electricity and heat to the largest natural stone mining and processing enterprise in Russia. It is worth mentioning that this is the second power facility launched for this customer, which once again proves the long-term nature of cooperation with the MKC team.

In 2019, MKC Group of Companies commissioned the first power center for this customer. That's when the company opened a new workshop with innovative equipment, thus generating an urgent need for stable and affordable energy supply. This task was solved by MKC Group of Companies, which constructed the modular power center with a capacity of 2 MW on the territory of the plant under an energy service contract.

And three years later, the customer, convinced of the obvious advantages of the in-house generation, decided to build a new power center at the second production site. Cooperation with MKC Group of Companies was continued. The company promptly erected a modular mini power plant within the framework of turnkey project including design, equipment supply, construction, commissioning and start-up. The MWM TCG 2020 generator was used as the main generation equipment.   

The second power facility for the customer company was also built within the framework of the energy service contract. This type of cooperation involves the operation of the equipment owned by MKC Group of Companies under a lease agreement. The customer gains economic benefits immediately after the facility launch without capital investments.

The customer is one of the key enterprises of the Chelyabinsk region. The main product of the company is high-quality mineral fillers. They are used for the production of powder mortar, paint coatings, linoleum, leather substitutes, cleaning products, ceramic tiles, tableware, paper and even food and pharmaceutical products (for example, for teeth whitening products). 

By the way, marble production has reanimated the once dying settlements of the Kartalinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. New enterprise gave several hundred jobs at the marble quarry and at the plant. Providing affordable and reliable energy supply to the customer's enterprise through the innovative power plants is the MKC Group of Companies' contribution to the development of not only the enterprise, but also the Chelyabinsk region.
