MKS Group of Companies has commissioned an energy center for one of the largest mining companies in Russia

The MKS Group of Companies has successfully completed the construction of an energy center for one of the largest mining companies in Russia. An energy complex was put into operation at the production site in the Chelyabinsk Region, which began to provide the enterprise with electric and thermal energy. It is noteworthy that this facility was implemented by the MKS Group of Companies under an energy service contract - one of the most advantageous forms of cooperation between the customer and the contractor.

For the customer enterprise - the largest producer of high-quality crushed stone - the power plant built by the MKS Group of Companies became the first distributed generation facility. The total electric capacity of the energy center was 1.8 MW, and the thermal capacity was 1 MW.

The MWM TCG 3020V16 generator set, one of the latest innovative developments of the German brand, was used as the main generating equipment. This engine is characterized by the highest efficiency (44%), as well as reduced oil consumption, which provides savings of up to 50% on lubricants. However, the main advantage of the GPU is the modernized TPEM (Total Plant Energy Management) control system: all the data of the generator unit are connected to the control system of the unit and the equipment of the power center in one system.

The construction of the block-modular power plant was implemented on a turnkey basis. The specialists of the MKS Group of Companies performed the design work, calculated the equipment layout taking into account the placement of the facility on the territory of the operating enterprise, manufactured the block module at its own production base in Chelyabinsk, and delivered the generating equipment. Commissioning work was carried out by the company's own forces in the shortest possible time - 14 days.

For the MKS Group of Companies, the power center in the Chelyabinsk region became another facility implemented within the framework of an energy service contract. This type of cooperation involves the operation of equipment that is owned by the MKS Group of Companies under a lease agreement with the subsequent possibility of redemption by the lessee at the residual value for the production of electricity for the needs of the enterprise.

For the customer, cooperation with the MKS Group of Companies within the framework of the energy service contract allowed to obtain an economic effect immediately after the commissioning of the energy center, without capital investments on its part. The facility as a whole increased the reliability of the enterprise's energy supply and significantly reduced energy costs.

It should be noted that the customer company specializes in the production of high-quality crushed stone, which is used in various fields - from the manufacture of asphalt pavement to the construction of bridges, airfields and the manufacture of slabs for runways. The emergence of an autonomous energy center will ensure the smooth operation of the enterprise and stable quality of the products.
