The MKS Group of Companies launches an energy center 1.2 MW in the Yaroslavl region
The MKS Group of Companies commissions a modular power plant in the Yaroslavl region. The energy center with a total capacity of 1.2 MW provides electricity and heat to one of the key enterprises of the Russian aviation industry. It is noteworthy that for the MKS Group of Companies this mini-CHP became the first object implemented within the framework of the energy service contract.
The construction of a 1.2 MW modular power plant based on the MWM TCG 2016 V12 gas piston generator was implemented by the MKS turnkey Group of Companies. The company's specialists carried out the design works, calculated the layout of the equipment taking into account the location of the facility on the territory of the current enterprise, delivered the generating equipment. In addition, the block modules were produced on their own production base in Chelyabinsk.
The power center operates in cogeneration mode (simultaneous generation of electricity and heat), so that the total efficiency can reach 90%, ensuring economical fuel consumption. Natural gas is used as a fuel. The energy center has the most advanced technologies and modern equipment, which allowed to achieve maximum reliability, economy and environmental friendliness of the facility.
Should be noted that the energy center in the Yaroslavl region became the first object for the the MKS Group of Companies to be implemented within the framework of the energy service contract. This type of cooperation involves the operation of equipment owned by the MKS Group of Companies under a lease agreement with the subsequent possibility of purchase by the tenant at the residual value for the production of electricity and heat power for the needs of the plant.
«The main criterion for choosing such a scheme of work is the final price of heat energy and electricity in combination with the current networks of the plant,» commented Maksim Zagornov, CEO at the MKS Group of Companies. «The customer plant received electricity from the MRSK supplier at an average price of about 5.5 rubles per 1 kW. When used the self-generation in a parallel mode, the cost of electricity and heat is reduced, as a significant portion of the power is replaced by the self-generation. Thus, the essence of the energy service contract is to obtain a mutual profit both by the tenant and the lessor by reducing the final tariff on heat and electric power.»
At the solemn ceremony of the facility launch the General Director of the customer plant thanked the entire staff of the MKS Group of Companies for the successful implementation of this project and expressed hope for continued cooperation. It should be noted that the energy center in the Yaroslavl region has been taken for service by the MKS Group of Companies.
