Group Company MKS hosted an Open Day for children of the Company's employees
On the penultimate day of summer, the ISS office in Chelyabinsk was noisy and cheerful: 27 boys and girls - children of the company's employees - came to the traditional Open Day, or, simply put, to visit their mom or dad at work. The children saw and learned a lot of new things: how a power plant is born, how many people take part in it, went through test trials in different departments and even got their first paycheck.
The morning of the penultimate summer day for the children of ISS employees started with an unusual offer: the children were invited to work in the company! Beforehand, the young candidates had an "interview", during which they were tested on their wits and told about the company itself.
After being handed real "employee badges", the children were introduced to different departments of the company. At the reception the kids tested the work of the shredder and learned how to keep a good mood throughout the day. In the personnel department, the kids were told what skills ISS employees should have.
In the design department they were offered to design their first power plant. In the engineering department, the architectural model of a mini-HPP showed them what a power plant consists of and how it is built. The children also visited the dispatching department, where they saw with their own eyes how the power plant is remotely controlled. In the Foreign Economic Activity Department, they learned about the specifics of the international department and performed mock tasks.
In the Law Department the children learned about their rights and the fact that lawyers are the guardians of good and justice. In the Economics and Finance Department, the kids were waiting for logic problems and a secret "black box" (with souvenir money bills in it), and in the Accounting Department - the most pleasant part of the working day: the issuance of wages. The children received their first "earnings" in the form of a gift card to the Detsky Mir store with a nominal value of 500 rubles.
At the end of the Open Day, the children were given a tour of the Bovid Business Center building, a photo session in the glass passage, a tea party in the golden hall of the Vidgof Hotel, and gifts from the company.
Open Doors Day is a traditional event of ISS, which gives children an opportunity not only to see where their parents work, but also to take a closer look at the power engineering profession themselves. So we are looking forward to seeing our younger generation working at ISS in a few years. In the meantime, we wish the boys and girls a successful school year!
