The snowmen-do-gooders of the ISS fulfilled Bogdan and Nikita's dreams

December is the month of miracles and magic, hopes and fulfillment of wishes. It is the month when every adult can try himself as a magician. For the fifth time already, the employees of MKS Group of Companies became "good-hearted snowmen", and within the framework of the annual charity event of the same name, they fulfilled the New Year wishes of children in difficult life situations.

This year ISS power engineers decided to fulfill the dreams of two boys at once - 17-year-old Bogdan Yurin from Kopeysk and 10-year-old Nikita Savchenko from Kusa. Each of them has severe illnesses, courageous overcoming of life's difficulties and at the same time - inexhaustible faith in good, in New Year's miracles, in fulfillment of wishes!

Bogdan has had diabetes since he was 10 years old. However, he did not stop leading an active lifestyle: he continued to practice ballroom dancing, took an interest in soccer, went to the gym. Difficulties did not break the boy! Bogdan is in 10th grade and plans to go to university. He asked the good-hearted snowmen for a cool soccer ball and a wristwatch, which will always remind him that it's time to take an insulin shot.

Nikita, a pupil of the Kusinsky rehabilitation center, has cerebral palsy. In addition, the boy has a severe genetic disease: any fall leads to broken bones. Nikita moves around in a wheelchair. In his letter to the Good Snowmen, the boy shared his dream: he wants to have a touch screen phone to communicate with his family and friends! And at the end he added: "How good it is that there are such snowmen who can fulfill wishes!".

The boys' stories touched the hearts of ISS power engineers. The Company employees raised funds for New Year presents for Bogdan and Nikita in record time. Charitable contributions came from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Chelyabinsk - the cities where ISS operates. Each employee of the company made his or her own contribution.

On December 19, gifts were presented to the boys! The date was not chosen by chance: it was on this day Bogdan celebrated his birthday, he turned 17 years old. "I am very touched that on this very day you found time to come and give me presents. Thank you all, I am very happy," Bogdan said.

"I want to thank the entire ISS staff for choosing my son. He was so happy the whole evening, so much attention and gifts. Your arrival was a stimulus for him to further actions, you questioned him so much, told him about your work, everything with such kindness. This is worth a lot," wrote Elena Konstantinovna, Bogdan's mother, a little later.

In addition, by tradition, before each New Year, the company's management - Maxim Alexandrovich and Victoria Yurievna Zagornov - congratulate Katya Shundeeva, a girl whom ISS has been patronizing for more than 12 years. The Company regularly pays for the child's rehabilitation courses, purchases modern walking aids and, of course, fulfills Katya's New Year wishes. This year the girl was given a warm and fashionable ski suit.

It should be noted that MKS Group has held the honorary title of "snowman" - a company that fulfills children's dreams - since the first year of the launch of the charity project in 2019. In 4 years, power engineers have supported five children. In total, 756 companies of the Southern Urals became "snowmen" during the four years of the unique charity event, they fulfilled the dreams of 2,345 children, and the motto of the event was "Goodness is like a snowball"!
